與荔枝的嬌貴不同，莆田龍眼以堅韌與智慧著稱。早在唐宋，“興化桂圓甲天下”的聲譽已聲動四方，成為貢品。它不僅是果實，更被譽為“南桂圓，北人參”，以其補血養神的藥用價值聞名。

莆田龍眼最令人稱道之處，在於古法九道工藝烘焙成桂圓乾。這一非物質文化遺產，從“搖砂”到“復焙”，不僅延長了果實壽命，更賦予桂圓獨特的木香與韻味。古人用火與耐心，將果實化為不朽的“金色甘露”。

桂圓貿易曾催生龐大的“桂圓商幫”。自宋代起，莆田商人將桂圓遠銷江南富庶之地，甚至通過海上絲路輸往高麗、越南與琉球。他們憑一顆果實，書寫了屬於興化的商業史詩，也印證了這座城市敢闖敢拼的精神。

文旦柚：承載孝道與戲曲的果實

在莆田仙遊度尾鎮，文旦柚不僅以汁多甘美著稱，更因傳奇而熠熠生輝。一個故事說，它是舉人與莆仙戲班旦角的跨界之作，因而得名“文旦”；另一個版本，則講述了清代孝子林旦以祈柚救母的動人傳說。兩段故事，賦予文旦柚濃厚的文化寓意：它既是才情的象徵，也是孝道的果實。

1984年，國家主席李先念在福建品嚐文旦柚後盛讚不已，並親筆命名為“度尾無籽蜜柚”。自此，莆田四大名果的文旦柚跻身國家地理標誌保護產品，成為中國柚類的代表。

文旦柚的風味，得益於度尾獨特的風土：群山環抱，溪水潺潺，紅壤肥沃。果實細嫩化渣，香氣濃郁，既可鮮食，又全身是寶。柚皮精油、柚茶、果脯的開發，使它不僅是舌尖的享受，更是文化敘事與產業潛力的結合體。

若說荔枝是歷史的貴族，龍眼是匠藝的傳人，文旦柚是故事的敘述者，那麼枇杷便是當之無愧的產業冠軍。莆田是全國三大枇杷產地之一，產量一度占全國五分之一，城鄉常太鎮被譽為“中國枇杷第一鄉”。

上世紀50年代，莆田“解放鐘”品種曾憑單果172克的紀錄在國際農業博覽會上摘金，震驚世界。進入80年代，科研人員又培育出“早鐘6號”，讓枇杷提前上市一個多月，為果農贏得先機。近年來，“三月白”等新品種延長了產業周期，使莆田枇杷始終保持市場競爭力。

更為關鍵的是，枇杷產業已形成完整的加工鏈條。從潤肺止咳的枇杷膏，到遠銷海外的枇杷罐頭、花茶與酒，莆田枇杷早已超越鮮果，成為全球健康食品市場的重要角色。
